Q: Dear April Masini,
I want to spend some quality time with my daughter before she leaves for college. We love hanging out and watching movies together, but I'd really like some ideas for activities we can do together that are a bit more exciting. Any suggestions?
Sincerely,
Mother Daughter Day
A:
Dear Mother Daughter Day,
It's great you want to spend some quality time with your daughter. There are lots of fun activities you can do; no men allowed!
Activities for moms and daughters:
1. Spas are great mother daughter trips. Spa weekends, overnights, or weeks. Be prepared, however, for most spas to not accommodate daughters or anyone under the age of 18.
2. Shopping. Take a weekend and go to one of the more remote outlet malls and do just that -- make a weekend out of it!
3. Shoot it. Photo safari weekends where mom and daughter take a road trip or a wildlife watching trip or just a hiking trip armed with digital cameras, etc.
