Q: Dear April Masini,

St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner and I'm ready to party! I'm thinking of throwing a party or hitting up a sexy lounge to celebrate with my friends and want to know if you have any tips on the best drinks are for this special occasion!

Sincerely,

Sexy Shamrock

A:

Dear Sexy Shamrock,

Here are some current trends in St. Patrick's Days Drinks.

For the traditional revelers:

*Irish whiskey drinks! There’s nothing like Irish coffee for St. Patty’s Day wherever it’s cold.

For the Southern belles — wannabes:

*Go green! If you’re in the south, or just feeling like you’d like to be there, a mint julep with some extra green mint on top will be a great way to celebrate.

Get your sexy on:

*Sexy green. Midori is a great melon flavored liquer for a sexy St. Patty’s day celebration.

It’s never too early to feel like you’re on spring break:

*For the young at heart, green Jell-O shots are a crazy way to say Happy St. Patty’s day.

And while it’s never a good idea to drink without eating, order out or cook up some corned beef and cabbage or soda bread to go with your cocktails. And don’t forget the green beer — someone always wants some!
