Q: Dear April Masini,
We just started back to school shopping for my twelve-year-old and are trying to decide what the best backpack is for him. I know the big ones can hurt his back, but he's going to have a lot of books to carry back and forth this year so he's going to need something big and durable. What's the best backpack to get?
Sincerely,
Back To School Mom
A:
Dear Back To School Mom,
Heavy duty backpacks wreak havoc on kids backs, and we're bound to see a generation of adults with back problems. The best thing that parents can do for their children for back to school is to get them a backpack that doesn't go on their backs, but one that is on wheels that they can push or pull. Toting heavy backpacks daily can do damage to children's backs, spines, muscles, and organs.
Give your kid a break and get them a backpack on wheels this year.
