Behavior: How Does Music Play Into Romance?

There’s something about music that changes our physiology. It’s very scientific, and it’s akin to the way people’s moods change when they smell, feel or taste something. When we hear something — and that something is music — it has the ability to transform us. Literally.
And that’s why “make out music” puts us in the mood. It’s also why sad songs help us feel and purge our emotions. And it’s why certain upbeat songs put us in an upbeat mood.
Marketers know this, and use it — it’s why you’ll hear upbeat music in the market because it’s supposed to make you perkier, and hence, shop more!
For Valentine’s Day, it’s a GREAT idea to make a playlist of all the songs that you and your sweetie heard when you were falling in love, had your first kiss, your first intimate moment, your best sex, etc. These songs and this music will reinforce those good times and open the way for more and better good times.
