Entertainment: Britney’s Shaved Head - The Onset of a Nervous Breakdown?

Frankly, I don’t think Britney’s buzz cut is necessarily a symptom of a nervous breakdown, rather a case of hair extensions gone bad. Britney has been wearing extensions for years and as most anyone who has (worn them for years) can tell you, (a) they take a toll on your hair — resulting in breakage, thinning and even bald spots, and (b) the upkeep it exhausting, to say nothing of exceedingly expensive. In Britney’s case, her extensions have been causing thinning, breakage — and probably bald spots. And don’t take my word for it — take a look at Britney’s pre-buzz photos over the past 3-4 months and see for yourself.
The media frenzy generated by Britney’s shaved head — and the assumption that it, in itself, is a clear indicator that she’s lost her mind; is in the midst of a complete melt down; or is an unfit mother — is unfair and (quite possibly) completely inaccurate. In this particular instance, I think the media needs to back off — give Britney a break and the benefit of doubt. Instead of immediately assuming the worst, take a look at most of her very resent pre-shaved photos — notice the thinning hair and bad extensions?
If you were suffering from bald spots and thinning hair due to bad extensions, is it possible that you too might consider shaving your head if you thought it could result in a full head of healthy thick hair? I might.
