Marketing to women pays off in exponential ways:
* Women spend money.
* Women influence where money is spent whether they’re dating or married.
* Teenage girls emulate their mothers and spend their money in the same ways that their mothers do to a large degree.
The best ways to market to women is to know what women want. Most men are still trying to figure that out, but marketers who know, will win.
* Women want to eat food that is healthy.
* Women want to eat food that is light.
* Women want to be able to talk quietly in a restaurant.
* Women want restaurants where they can eat alone without getting hit on, bothered or looked at askance — but where interesting, sophisticated, available men may also be dining.
* Women want to eat at a restaurant that makes them feel good about having dined there.
* Women want food that is fresh.
* Women want food that they don’t normally get at home — food that they consider a treat like sushi, exotic salads and exotic coffees.
