Abuse is — abusive. It is not productive for anyone who is healthy. In fact, it’s counter productive. If you have a boss who is abusive, you should talk to human resources about remedying the situation. People who act abusively need help, and they don’t always realize it. When they get it, they are grateful.

It is not your job to help your abusive boss, but it is your job to not put yourself in an abusive situation — no matter how much money you make or how good you think the job is. The abuse will take a toll on you.

At a certain point, when you find that there is no respite for you from the abuse, you need to leave the job. Being abused is not worth it in a world where there are opportunities. Don’t be a victim.
