Career Advice: Three Tips For Getting Back Into The Work World

Want to know if you’re ready to return to work? Here’s how:
1. If you do decide to return to work be prepared forthings to be different. If you don’t, you’re going to be frustrated.
2. Regardless of what people say, it is harder to get a new job after you’ve had kids. You are not perceived the same way by many people. You’re perceived as someone with responsibilities. While some companies will find that an asset, there are those who find it a deficit.
3. Let go of the perfect life dream. You will not be able to cook dinner, work and be a mom — at least not every night. You will have to do take out dinners, restaurant dinners, and your house will be messy — unless you get more help than you had. You will have more laundry and it won’t get done as quickly unless you have more help.
