Today: Family Reunions

It’s hard to get something that is going to please everyone - especially when the family reunion involves lots of people of different ages. But among these, there should be one that works for most of the people in your group, most of the time.
Some great family reunion ideas:
*Charity reunions. Focus the reunion around a day of charity — whether it’s a family candystriping in a hospital day or a Habitat for Humanity day. This also dilutes family fights that sometimes occur because it’s pretty clear at these places that other people have it worse than you do, so be grateful.
* Resorts. The great thing about resorts is that people can meet at the pool, the restaurant “on campus” or the golf course. There is a lot of contained entertainment built into the resort which makes doing things as a big group or small groups or even as individuals, possible.
* Park picnics. A pot luck park day is a great way to see everyone with the least amount of planning. Have everyone bring an assigned or pot luck dish. Set up a baseball game, and have the reunion at a park where there is swimming, fishing and biking — something for everyone.
