Weddings: Wedding Invitation Trends

When it comes to wedding, there are a couple of rules to go by:
*If this is your first and hopefully only wedding, think about permanence when you design your wedding invitations. Think about looking back at your wedding invitation with your grandchildren 50 years from now, and what you would like to look back on. Think about the message you want to send your guests with your invitation. Your invitation will reflect any, all or none of the following feelings: austerity, respect, commitment, whimsy, permanence or fun.
*If this is not your first wedding, one of the things you will want to do is differentiate this celebration from any past wedding invitations with your name on them. Your invitation will reflect where you are in your life right now. If this is a third wedding, you may not want a Crane, engraved invitation as much as you’ll want something that reflects where you are right now in your life, and who else is there with you (your children? his children?).
*Budget is key. There is no reason to get into a fight with your partner or any family members over budget when it comes to invitations because there are so many ways to say the same thing at different price points these days. Pick your budget and your style then make them both work.
* Avoid e-invites. As wonderful as they are, a wedding should stand out from the e-mails that fly back and forth during the day. Send a snail mail wedding invitations.
