Why Do People Love Drinking Soda?

The difference between soda and other beverages is what it is that makes it attractive to soda lovers — the sugar, the bubbles and the packaging.
People who love soda love the sugar in their drinks, as opposed to hard core (no frappucinos) coffee drinkers, water drinkers and iced tea drinkers.
But what sets soda apart from juice, which also has a lot of sugar in it? The bubbles. People love to feel the texture of the bubbles in their mouths, the same ways that babies crave “real food” once they get teeth — as opposed to mush like applesauce and pureed baby foods. They want to feel textures in their mouths, and that’s what soda allows - bubbles!
The packaging of soda is also eye candy as well as a treat to hold, look at and consume from. Specially shaped bottles making drinking with a straw a treat. Some people love sodas in old fashioned paper cones held in diner soda glasses with straws.
Soda addicts, like any other addict, run the risk of losing balance. If you drink too much soda, you’ll rot your teeth. It’s sugar. It’s not great for your body. However, if you want the bubbles and packaging without the sugar, try carbonated water or sparkling water — or champagne!
The difference between regular soda and diet soda is the sugar. Diet soda uses artificial sweeteners to cut calories.
