Don’t scoff. Interpersonal skills, just like knowing a foreign language, have to be kept in working order. It’s much easier, after all, to be witty and bold and charming when you have the time to think before you type—but that’s not the case when you have to chat in person. To make sure you don’t fall into an online dating rut, follow these tips:
•    Don’t let emailing go on too long before meeting in-person
•    Talk on the phone after one or two typed messages
•    Get out behind your computer every now and again and flirt it up in the “real world”
