Effects of Remarriage on Adult Children

Although feelings can be mixed when a parent wants to remarry someone other than mom or dad, the older the children are, the better. Once “kids” have been on their own–in some cases married themselves, and in all cases, having experienced the complexities of love and relationships–the better equipped they are to understand and really appreciate how special it is to find another person to share your life with, especially later in life, when meeting new people can be particularly difficult.
