Is Cheating Ok?

I’m not sure that cheating is any more prevalent today than it has been in the past, but it has definitely become more acceptable. Why? Probably, in part, because we spend so much time, as a society, delving into the underbelly—the darker side of our lives and personalities—that we no longer feel the need to maintain a facade of Dating Expert, April Masininormalcy. Oprah, Dr. Phil, talk radio, therapy—all day long we spill our dirty little secrets, or listen to those of others, whereas previous generations placed heavy emphasis on keeping their private lives private. It’s even gotten to the point where it feels normal to be abnormal. It seems normal to have been abused, normal to have addictions, normal to cheat.

And then, you’ve always got the interpretation of the definition…. “It depends on what the meaning of the word “‘is” is”….Right?   Well, former President Clinton with that one statement made oral sex—well, not sex….Right?
