Older… and Divorcing

Divorce in your twenties or thirties, and you may feel that the world is still your oyster. Bump that up a few years (or ten or twenty years), and you’re more likely to feel that your world is over…especially if you’re a woman who doesn’t have the advantage of being thought of as “distinguished” or “sexy”, like the aging man. Nevertheless, I’m a firm believer in “getting back in the saddle”. In other words, there’s nothing like a new flame to help you get over an old one!

For the ladies, I suggest taking a few weeks or months to exercise, get a fresh new hairstyle and makeover (even a new lipstick color can work wonders), and start thinking of yourself as a sexy woman—not a divorced mom. And for the fellas—you, too, can benefit from exercise since it helps clear the mind as well as shed a few pounds.

Then, when each of you is ready—get on the internet and start looking around dating sites. At first, you’ll just be amazed at the variety of interesting singles out there, and soon enough, once enough time has passed and your courage has been built, you’ll be one of them. It’s a new world of dating opportunities perfect for the recently divorced.

Ladies, I’d also like to recommend Think & Date Like A Man – it’s written for women just like you and it’s loaded with relationship advice and dating tips for women.
