Shopping and Retail Therapy

Is shopping really therapeutic?
Anytime you do something that’s good for yourself, your spirits will be lifted. Shopping can be just the ticket to do both those things!
Reasons shopping is good therapy:
* Shopping takes care of your clothing needs. Needing an outfit for an event, and not having it in the closet can be stressful. Having “nothing to wear” can be stressful. Stocking your wardrobe curbs against being unprepared.
* Shopping breaks up your day and gets you thinking about something other than work, your relationship/s, or whatever may be bugging you.
* Shopping is exercise. I wouldn’t run this by your personal trainer as an excuse, but when you shop, you’re moving, and you can take stairs instead of escalators, park away from the store instead of valet parking and get a brisk walk going to make the experience good for your body — and good for your heart!
