“Pros” to Rehiring Ex-Employees

Rehiring ex-employees is an excellent idea for several reasons:

* Gives employees who are no longer working for them employment.

* Fills positions with employees who already know the company and the company’s ways, as well as other employees there.

* Creates goodwill among the company. Firing isn’t always about the employee’s personal work. Sometimes it’s about affordability. This is never more clear than when companies rehire when they have need.

* Creates good p.r. among the industry for the company that maintains long-term relationships with it’s employees and ex-employees.

The only downside is if an employee who was fired, and then rehired, is disgruntled, resentful and vengeful, and takes these feelings out at work.
