Once in a while a creative endeavor — whether it’s a book or a play or a ballet or a movie gets it so right that a classic piece of art is created. What does getting it right mean? It means telling a story that evokes emotions in the audience that make them feel strongly.

A Christmas Carol and The Nutcracker happen to be such pieces of art that bring a feeling of joy and well being to audiences over and over and over.

Other pieces of art that have chronic value are certain Broadway shows, classic movies and famous paintings. Certain pieces of art are linked with holidays because they have Christmas themes. It’s A Wonderful Life is another example of such a holiday hit — every year! And for years to come.
