Dating: Tips For Meeting Jewish Singles

Lots of people want to date and marry within their own religion, race, or some other group that they belong to. For Jews, one of the most sure fire ways to meet someone with similar religious beliefs is at the synagogue!
Try these:
* If you’re a Jewish single parent, check out the other single parents at your child’s religious or Hebrew school.
* Participate in family services, if you’re a single parent. There will be other single parents there, too.
* Ask the Rabbi to introduce you to anyone appropriate.
* If you’re invited to a Bar or Bat Mitzvah or Jewish wedding, ask the host to seat you with other eligible singles. Do this well in advance of the event, as seating charts and tables are planned ahead of time.
* The only don’ts that come with meeting someone at a religious venue is to respect their spiritual practice. Don’t flirt during a prayer of atonement. Don’t try out a line on someone during silent meditation or during a memorial service. Do mix your interest for someone of the opposite sex with festive holidays and celebrations rather than somber ones.
