Random Drug Testing in Schools–The First Step in Regaining Control

Okay, parents. It really is time for the monkeys to stop running the zoo–even if they are your monkeys.
Not a day passes lately that I don’t hear something about some little pisher causing major problems at a school somewhere. The deplorable behavior isn’t even restricted to an older group anymore. The stuff that goes on in elementary and middle schools is simply apalling. I think it’s the result of two things–drugs and spoiled brat syndrome.
I have friends with kids in middle and high school. Trust me when I tell you, there ought to be an automatic credit for drama. No classroom, no teacher, no stage, no costumes needed. And no tickets because it’s FREE. It goes on 24/7.
My friend’s 15 year old was punched in the face the other day right in the cafeteria. This, of course, after being called every name in the book (plus a few that aren’t in the book yet)Â on MySpace and having to endure threats and verbal abuse from an obviously disturbed girl who reportedly “smokes pot with her dad.”
A few months ago another friend’s daughter, who’s in middle school, went through a very similar situation. She was literally terrorized and eventually physically assaulted by another “troubled” teen. When the abuser was confronted by my friend (the adult) she became just as nasty as she had been with the daughter. These people are crazy. And guess who allows it? That would be us–the adults who aren’t raising immortal hell about this nonsense.
Another friend of mine teaches fifth grade. I wouldn’t have her job for five minutes because that’s about how long it would take me to do things with rulers that would make old school Catholic nuns seem gentle. Those kids are getting more out of control by the minute. Elementary school teachers can’t even break up a fight anymore because they aren’t allowed to touch the precious little monsters. They aren’t allowed to protect the children!!!
The tidal turn should start with random drug testing in all schools. Vaccines are mandatory for school attendance due to potential health hazards if not administered. Well, drugs are hazardous too–harmful to the person taking them and harmful to others when out of control behavior happens as a result. Decent kids are being denied adequate educations because of ridiculous distractions and fear. The deviants need to be expelled, just like in the old days. No daycare? Too bad. Maybe if parents start feeling the pressure caused by their own kids, instead of passing it on to everyone else, they’ll start making their kids behave.
Actions have consequenses folks. And there have been way too many drug related actions in recent years. Too many kids have had death as a consequence–the ultimate one. Some were victims of their own poor choices while others were victims of someone else’s.
The government, schools and citizens (those who still have brains) need to regain control. Random drug testing in all schools is the perfect place to start. Parents who don’t like it, who want their kids to run the show, can home school them or send them to private school. The rest of us have a right to safety and freedom from terror. And we should demand the upholding of such rights. Remember, rights that aren’t protected are lost–forever. Do you want to lose yours and those of your children to a bunch of punks who can’t even vote but somehow wield all the power?  Â
