Relationship Advice Expert April Masini
Advice Seeker: Dear April Masini,
I've been working at the same job for about a year now and I'm starting to feel like it's going nowhere. I'd hate to quit, though, because I think it will look bad on my resume that I stayed at a job for such a short period of time. So I'm thinking about sticking it out a little longer to see where things go. Are there any signs that will tell me if my job is a dead end job?
Sincerely,
Where Is This Going?
Dear Where Is This Going?,
There's no reason to stick with a job that is going absolutely nowhere. You should always make sure you have a backup plan, or a plan B, to ensure that you have something to do if your current situation is not going well. If your job is a dead end job, consider looking for something that will offer you more opportunities.
