Advice on Why You May Be Missing Out If You Don't Have Myspace for Your Small Business

Myspace Business Tool

Advice Seeker: Dear April,

I just started my own small retail clothing business and I am looking forward to getting a lot of young, hip customers into my store. I heard that a lot of small businesses are starting their own Myspace pages to attract customers. Why is this, and do you think starting a Myspace page would be worth it for my business?

Sincerely,

Business Myspacing

April Masini's advice:

Dear Business Myspacing,

MySpace brings individuals and businesses into the homes of individuals in ways that used to cost thousands and thousands of dollars -- for pennies! Businesses who are tech savvy have figured this out and are capitalizing on the fact.

Unlike real estate, technology and technological innovations, there is no limit to technology and the price on communication is going down, down, down with each year. Computers that used to cost thousands of dollars to buy for a home or bedroom or dorm room now cost a thousand dollars or less and that price is going to go down with each passing year, as science and technology advances.

The relationship business, which is where I come in, whether it's personal relationships or business trying to have personal relationships with customers and potential customers, has one more venue with MySpace and one more place to make a relationship that may result in a sale, work.

Small business that don't use MySpace to increase sales and brand recognition are missing a sure thing.
