Hot Town, Summer In The Office
Q: I just got a new job and am ready to go shopping for some fabulous work clothes. The only problem is, it's starting to get hot here, and I'm pretty sure we're going to be in for a long summer, full of heat waves. What can I wear to my office job that will keep me nice and cool but will still look appropriate? I don't want to wear too little, but I don't want to be sweating!
Sincerely,
Summer Working
A: Dear Summer Working,
There is definitely a fine line between what is and is not appropriate work wear. Since you're just starting this job, you'll want to make sure you make a great first impression--that means you need to be fully clothed and professional, but also sweat-free!
The Countdown Back To School Is On
Q: It's almost August, which means only one month until the kids go back to school. We always seem to be running around like crazy come the week before back to school. Are there any things we can do in August that will help September be a little less stressful?

Hair Shouldn't Be Everywhere
Q: Being a woman is so confusing these days! I've always shaved my legs and armpits, but lately I've been hearing that men like when women get rid of the hair that's a little bit lower (if you know what I mean). Is this true? And is it OK to shave down there or do I need to go to a professional to get rid of the hair? I'm so confused!
Sincerely,
Hair Down There
A: Dear Hair Down There,
Unless you’re on the television show Survivor, and you have a realistic shot at a million dollars at the end of three months, get rid of the hair. Actually, even if you are on Survivor – in fact, especially if you’re on Survivor -- find a way to get rid of the hair! What good is surviving if your legs look like a gorilla’s legs? Men like women to have smooth, silky, hairless skin, and women have been getting rid of hair for men throughout the ages.

Q: I love summer and I try to spend every moment possible outside ... But my hair (and feet) pay a huge price and often leave me looking like a dried out frizzle ball, with paws. How can I look great and still have summer fun?
Thanks,

Cutting College Costs
Q: I'm starting college in the fall and am very excited! But because I have such a big course load and want to get used to my schedule, I'm not going to have any time for a job right away. I'm a little worried about money and was wondering if you had any tips for how to save some money when away at school.

Frugal Freshman

Summer Style Watch
Q: Summer is coming and I need to clean out my closets! I want to be entirely in style this season, but I need a little help learning what the best summer styles are this year. What are some must-have items I should have in my closet come the summer months and what should I stay far away from?
Sincerely,
Summer Fashion Plate
A: Dear Summer Fashion Plate,
The best way to celebrate the spring and summer fashion changes is to take off those trousers and shed those blue jeans in exchange for a flirty, light summer or spring dress.
The Coolest Mom On The Block
Q: Summer's coming, and I'm dreading it. As a stay-at-home mom, I somehow become the neighborhood caretaker. Admittedly, I try to give my kids the best summer possible. We have a swimming pool and I welcome them to invite friends to use it. When the kids are over, I usually provide snacks or lemonade, and out of sheer concern, I'm always watching them when they're in the pool.
But to be honest, sometimes my kids aren't even inviting their neighborhood buddies over. They're dropped off while their parents run a "quick errand" or something and I end up hosting a pool party three days a week!
I don't want to be rude to my neighbors, and I feel like a precedent has been set. How do I get out of this!?
Signed,
Super Mom
A: Dear Super Mom,
One of summer's most common mom problems is being too swell of a hostess -- so swell in fact, that everyone in the neighborhood is sending their kids to your house -- and you're stressed out!
