Nicknamed “The New Millennium's Dear Abby” by the media, April Masini writes what Dear Abby will never print, and what your shrink doesn’t have the guts to tell you. That’s why she is America's foremost online dating and relationship advice expert, as well as the best-selling author of four books: Date Out Of Your League, Think & Date Like A Man, Ideas for a Fun Date and Romantic Date Ideas. It’s also why she’s gone one-on-one with Bill O’Reilly on FOXs’ O’Reilly Factor, became a favorite expert of ABC Entertainment News, a regular on MSN and Match.com, and a fixture of the Spanish media empire, Univision (just to name a few). April doesn’t hold back -- she’s frank, she's direct, and she's brutally honest. And that’s what readers (and the press) want, and keep coming back for: The Truth. April has a bold, gutsy, tell-it-like-it-is style that readers have been craving, but couldn’t find -- until now.
That whirlwind and buzz, along with the audience swell to standing room only for her initial dating seminar "for men only" (which sold out in under two hours), prompted April to write her now best-selling book, Date Out Of Your League, followed by it's counter part for women, Think & Date Like A Man.
With over 2,750 interviews, articles and opinion pieces, radio and television shows, including those on FOX, ABC, NBC, CBS, Univision, CNN, The New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, New York Daily News, MSN, Newsday, Los Angeles Times, Chicago Tribune, Forbes, Cosmo, Maxim, Men's Health, Bankrate.com, WebMD, Yahoo!, iVilliage, AskMen.com, and USA Today -- April captivates readers, viewers and listeners alike, and keeps them coming back for more!
April Masini: Entertainment Industry Executive & Political Activist
In addition to being a recognized relationship expert, author and advice columnist, April is also CEO of Masini Enterprises, Inc in Los Angeles. As an entertainment industry executive April raised tens of millions of dollars in financing for television and feature film productions, including Baywatch and Blue Crush. April was a producer of Destination Stardom and the Co-Chair and Event Coordinator of the The 1998 Miss Universe Pageant.
Known for her advocation of legislation that supports television and film production, April has proven equally successful in the development and implementation of educational contests and revolutionary marketing concepts and campaigns. Among other successes, securing Baywatch's relocation to Hawaii netted 125 jobs for Hawaii residents and delivered over $66 million of international media exposure and advertising from a $2.7 million dollar investment. April's financing of the film Blue Crush resulted in the agreement between Universal Studios and the Hawaii Visitors and Conventions Bureau to crosspromote the islands with the upcoming release of the made-in-Hawaii movie -- "a pioneering deal with a promotional value worth millions of dollars."
In 1999 'Imi Loa Magazine' credited April (and her former husband Al Masini) with "almost single-handedly reviving Hawaii's television industry."
In 1998, Hawaii Governor Ben Cayetano acknowledged April and Al Masini's contribution to the state by proclaiming June 4th of that year "Al and April Masini Day".
