Setting the Stage:
Every now and again, you have to go out and do good work. It’s positive for society, for the soul, and your own personal growth. However, good work doesn’t have to be boring. Where you donate your time is strictly your personal choice.

There are political groups, soup kitchens, youth groups, and a variety of other organizations that could benefit from your time. To keep it as light and fun as possible, try a volunteer dog-walking service. You and your date can spend the day walking the city, playing with a cute puppy and maybe even imagine what it might be like to have one of your very own together.

 | Nice cargo shorts (the pockets will come in handy) with a navy polo shirt, and brown leather sandals. |
 | Volunteer wear should not look overly sexy, but it also need not look like it came from the Goodwill. Wear a comfy, but snug pair of jeans from “Seven”, a long-sleeve t-shirt from Michael Stars, and a sport-inspired shoe. It’s a sneaker, ‘cept better. |
Devil's in the Details:
 | Pack a picnic lunch for the day, but skip the traditional PB&J. Make fresh chicken sandwiches on thick French bread, potato salad, and a mixed fruit salad. |
 | I think this might be the only date in this entire book where I advise you not to drink. If you’re going to do something good, do it all the way. Be in the moment, be sober, and be involved. It’s just one day, after all. |
 | All the ooh’s and aah’s you’ll get when your date sees how adorable you look with that puppy. Oh, and the sound of their voice telling you over and over again what a good person you are for doing this. |
 | The sights of your town or city from a dog’s perspective. Walking a dog makes you keenly aware of where the grassy spots are, the best shade trees, and any hidden treats. |
 | A ball for the dog to play with that you don’t mind losing (or I should say donating to the park), and a blanket for the three of you to lounge on. |
 | Hidden spots of grassy beds are perfect for stolen kisses. |
