The late Dr. June Stride was a world renowned author, advice columnist, teacher, administrator, spokesperson, public speaker, and she was my mother. Her expertise and advise was so good that I feel compelled to share it with my readers, even after her passing. Her wisdom holds up! Her professional background that encompassed work with students from kindergarten through post high school, and she worked with kids who were exceptionally able, disabled and both in the public and the private sectors, as well as in a maximum security prison for youth offenders.
Her honors and awards included: Who’s Who in American Education, Who’s Who in the World, Who’s Who of American Women, Who’s Who, Honorary Life Member of NY State Congress of Parents and Teachers, Healthy Living Award for Images book series, top ten best educational publications. Among her many publications, she co-authored Images Human Sexuality series: Changes, Choices, and Challenges, Street Smarts, A Substance Abuse Prevention Program.
